巴西里约热内卢前州长塞尔希奥·卡布拉尔7月4日在法庭上作证，称自己支付200万美元购买选票，确保里约热内卢成为2016年奥运会的举办城市。据路透社报道，卡布拉尔告诉法官，在2009年正式投票前，这笔钱给了国际田径联合会的前主席拉明·迪亚克，用来购买多达9张选票，最终里约热内卢打败马德里、芝加哥和东京，获得2016年奥运会举办权。
